Can't Login to Router on WiFi or with the App

When I am connected to WiFi I cannot login to my R6300 router using the IP Address.  I also cannot login using the Genie app from my Samsung Galaxy Note 7.  I have the most current firmware on the router and the most current app downloaded.  Is there some setting on the router I need to change to be able to login?  I can login from the computer if it is connected to the router with a network cable.

  • I found under Advanced Setup -> Remote management.  There is a completely different ip address listed there.  It is 192.168.0.3  I cannot change that address, at least I don't see where I change it.  My network uses 190.168.1.x network.  I am able to login to the router while on WiFi and on my phone using the 192.168.0.3 address.

  • I assume that you mean use wireless to login to the web interface to configure the thing rather than just to login to the wiifi.

I ask because it isn't always clear what people mean when they say "login".

Have you tried www.routerlogin.com rather than the IP address?

Both work here, albeit different devices.

Yes that is what I mean.  I have tried www.routerlogin.com which didn't work, but I will try again when I get home.  But the Android App doesn't give you an option for using www.routerlogin.com only IP address.  It will not connect at all.

That's not my experience. Maybe I am using a different Android app. I have v 2.4.34.

There is a check box that lets me enter the IP address, but I don't use that. I just log in automatically, and it asks me for the password.

      Www.routerlogin.com doesn't work either.

What do you mean by "doesn't work"?

What do you see when you try it?

      Which password are you using?

It should be the router login, not the wifi.

First connect to the wifi, then go to the router.

When I am on WiFi on my computer and I go to routerlogin.com or the routers IP address it say that it took to long to respond.

I am using my router password when I connect from the phone but it also times out.
