No internet connection R6400

Hi ,

 

I bought NetGear R6400 4 months ago, suddenly I do not have internet access.

Does it means it over?:smileysad:

 

I double checked router is properly connected to modem. And when I connect to modem I have internet connection.

Restarted modem and router couple of times , still same issue.

 

time to buy a good/reliable brand router?

    use the WIRED  PC you tested modem with and login to router...internet setup.....USE PC Mac address....reboot modem....internet led should turn white, if not try disabling IPV6

      How would I ping to router?

      I can see 'ember' light for internet on router, that means LAN is connected properly between Modem and Router but no connection.

      Would this help to get the better understanding of my situation.

    I'm having the same issue. How do you log in to the router when the PC is connected to the modem? The IP address that I retrieved when the router was working does not allow me to log in anymore.
