ReadyShare Vault: No readyshare device detected

Hi all,

I have a problem with accessing the readyshare drive in ReadyShare Vault. In fact it doesn't present itself at all.

But..., The connected USB drives ARE available and accessable under \\readySHARE in windows explorer.

A workaround is to create a mappped drive in Windows and then that mapped drive becomes available in ReadyShare Vault. But I don't think that is the right procedure

My environment:

Windows 10 with latest update to date (20170627)

Netgear R7800 with latest update to date (20170627)

ReadySHARE vault with latest version to date (20170627)

USB drives i tried:

* Toshiba USB 2.0 Ext. HDD

* Intenso External USB 3.0

* SAMSUNG HD204UI

* SAMSUNG HD502HI

  • Hi Elaine,

    I went one version back and it all worked!

    I then went to the latest FW version and it still seems to work.

    No clue why, but happy.

      Hi Elain,

      I tried several things:

      • Disabled all my security settings (including diisabling the firewall) on the Windows box
      • Disabled as much as possible security settings on the router
      • Added the share credential to the Windows box
      • Turned off QoS on the router
      • Reinstalled the SW
      • Installed the SW on another Win10 Box

      None of these resulted in a solution. Do you have suggestkions for other things to experiment with?

      Best regards,

      René

        Hi Rene-de-Ruyter,

        What is the firmware version of the router?

        Can you try to install the vault on a different computer and check if the same problem.
