USB Control Center Freezing on Installation and/or Removal
I'm trying to download the USB Control Center, I'm running Windows 10 Pro N. Everytime I install, it freezes at the same point. When I try to repair or install, it also freezes. I installed it on another computer and works great.
I have having to do a hard reboot when this happens.
I have the most current firmware installed.
So apparently I had a bad installation that was causing problems. I downloaded IObit Uninstaller which completely scraped off the bad install and then tried a fresh install. Works great now.

What's that? The ReadySHARE Printer utility?
There is support material, including a manual and any additional software, for the R7000 somewhere at the end of this link:

Yes, the readyshare printer utility.

If the utility is the one on this page, it seems to be out of date and limited to the number or routers supported.
ReadySHARE: Your Router Can Do Everything | NETGEAR
The R7000 is in there.
Is that the software you ran? It installed here in Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

This doesn't sound like a Router problem? However, if it is a program (unknown what USB Control Center means?) then your PC is the problem. Check the Event Viewer for some hints...

That threw me too.
Go look at the Readyshare controls in the browser interface, then ReadyShare Printer:
Step 3: On each computer that will share the printer, download the NETGEAR USB Control Center utility from http://www.netgear.com/readyshare.
Unfortunately, even when you visit the link you are left not much wiser. Heaven only knows which of the various bits there counts as the "Control Center".
