RS200 doesn't recognize Ethernet cable
Replaced router because of an EOS notice, but it refuses to recognize the Ethernet cable from the router. I can get internet access through the old router on that port, so it doesn't appear to be a hardware problem.
I tried a factory reset on the new RS200, but that solved nothing. Any ideas?

Hello!
If your new RS200 router isn't recognizing the Ethernet cable that works with your old router, the issue is likely a simple configuration or setup problem, not a hardware failure with the cable. First, ensure you've connected the Ethernet cable from your modem into the correct port on the RS200—it's typically labeled "Internet" or "WAN" and is a different color. Next, perform a proper power cycle: unplug both the modem and new router, wait 30 seconds, then plug in the modem first, and only after its lights are stable, plug in the router. Finally, if you can MyFordBenefits connect to the router via Wi-Fi, log into the admin interface and verify that its internet settings are configured to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP). These steps usually resolve the problem.

It would be useful to know what device the RS200 router WAN port is connected to.

To the modem.
