RS200 doesn't recognize Ethernet cable
Replaced router because of an EOS notice, but it refuses to recognize the Ethernet cable from the router. I can get internet access through the old router on that port, so it doesn't appear to be a hardware problem.
I tried a factory reset on the new RS200, but that solved nothing. Any ideas?

Update: it works fine if I run the cable from the modem through a switch and then another cable to the RS200 (they're all CAT5 and worked fine with the old router). It's not ideal but it works.

That's good, but I suggest replacing that setup with a cat-6a patch cable. They are quite inexpensive.
There are several possible reasons why CAT5 might not work well (particularly if they are ordinary CAT5 and not CAT5E). You might want to run a speed test, and see if you are getting the full internet speed you are paying for.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Seems like some interoperability issue between the RS router and your modem or ONT you have.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?

Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.

It would be useful to know what device the RS200 router WAN port is connected to.

Grumblebow: The question is exactly what modem (model and manufacturer).
It would also be useful to know if the modem's ethernet port supports 2.5 gbps or not.
Have you tried a different ethernet cable?

To the modem.
