Can't upgrade ReadyCloud

Yesterday I upgraded ths OS to 6.5. Among the problems I'm having is that I can't figure out how to upgrade ReadyCloud on my Mac laptop.

When I sign in to readycloud.netgear.com it tells me I have no registered devices. THis is after clicking upgrade my ReadyCloud account. So the page tells me to go to GUI > Cloud page, leave it from existing ReadyCLOUD account, and join with your mynetgear account. BUt when I go to do that it says it will erase all data for the existing account. That's a few TBs of data. If it erases it, will it unerase it after the upgrade?

Thank you.

You do NOT want to leave ReadyCLOUD -- that's a bad string that I'm getting fixed. Leaving ReadyCLOUD will remove your ReadyCLOUD private home shares and snapshots.

When you upgrade your ReadyNAS to 6.5.0, it will show your old ReadyCLOUD user until you migrate your account (possibly even a little after).

Once you migrate your old ReadyCLOUD account to a NETGEAR account, your NAS will recieve a signal to change over all the information to your MyNETGEAR e-mail. There will be no data loss.

If your ReadyCLOUD e-mail matches your MyNETGEAR e-mail, you still need to upgrade to migrate your NAS devices.

If you participated in Beta and already migrated from ReadyCLOUD to MyNETGEAR, you do not need to do this again; but you will have to leave ReadyCLOUD beta and rejoin ReadyCLOUD.

    • Hi,

      step one works.

step 2 does not work. the screen tells me there is no a registered nas available.

it is also possible to go for 'set up an new nas' but it brings me to the same screen telling ther is not a nas available.

so what is the solution in your answere?

      adri.

Step 2 says "Click Sign in" then you get the sign in screen. Is your ReadyCLOUD automatically signing you in because of a password manager? That could be your problem.  You don't sign in before migrating your account.

Step 3 takes place in the sign in screen, not after you login.

I can see where it is confusing in the articles to maybe Sign In, so I have asked some colleagues to reword step 2 from both articles to address confusion. Sorry!
