ReadyCloud users don't see content of shared folders

Dear all

 

As a ReadyCloud user with Read/Write access I can't see the content of shared folders. (See picture).

If I log in with the ReadyCloud admin user though I see the content in the shared folders.

 

Is this a known issue? Can anybody help with troubleshooting this?

 

Firmware: 6.5.2

  • I checked with NETGEAR Support

    They advised for following steps:

    - Check DNS entrys, add 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.2.2

    - Leave ReadyCLoud and rejoin. Reinvite the users.

     

    Finally I did "Reset permissions" under the tab "File Access" for all Shared folders. This worked for me!

      Well thanks for the hint. I have theese dns servers set since i first configured the nas. So from my opinion not that was the reason. I think they fixed the issue and said something to not look bad their image.

        It does seem odd that DNS issues continue to persist with ReadyCloud, but adding 8.8.8.8. often does resolve the problem.

         

        For me it's more of a workaround than a fix.  But it's clear from posts here that it works for some users.

  • I was deleted two accounts from my list one for test account and send invitation again. It was worked  on both accounts. That was happened yesterday. Today ... same issue no one can see what i share ... I was tryed to contact netgear but it seems if someone want to contact netgear for a issue that is not direct user related (here we do not speak about ... i do not know how to configure or ... to start the nas) it is necessary to pay ... So ... big disapointment ...

  • I subscribe. After last update users does not see the shared content anymore. I noticed even my sync settings was deleted. If i logon on readycloud i can see evrything but not users. That was not happened since last update. I even tryed to delete a user and add again and it still does not see anything. Netgear support does not answer they do not care ... Did someone have a solution ?

      Hi. I update to 6.6.0 and sends invitations again and it works other is downgrate to 6.5.1.  I hope it works for you

        It's a new NAS delivered with Firmware 6.5.1. It didnt' work with 6.5.1 too. Now I updated to 6.6.0 and it is still not working.

        I deleted a ReadyCloud user and reinvited him with no success.

        Whats the next step? To leave the ReadyCloud and join back in? I didnt' tried this yet as it has some impact (ReadyCloud users get deleted, loosing the links...)

        Any other ideas???
