Duo dead? Troubleshooting help, pls

Hi all,

my ReadyNAS Duo (RND 2150) died last night. At least it was shut down this morning and won't do anything when pushing the power button. I replaced the power adapter but still there's nothing happening at all.

Any ideas how to proceed with the troubleshooting? Is there a fuse somewhere that could be blown?

Thanks in advance,
Marq

There are some fuses soldered onto the system board, but they are not user-replaceable. I see a reference to a fuse in the plug here: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=73042 Not sure if that applies to all geographies.

Do you have data you need to extract from the hard drives?
  • Stephen,

thanks for your answer! Problem solved the easy way. It turns out not only the Netgear power supply was faulty, but the next I tried as well. I dug up a third one that can act as a temporary solution (12V/3A instead of 5A) for now and ordered a decent one already.

    Thanks again,
    Marq
