Frontview listing 2nd drive as 'Spare' while in RAID 0 mode
Hi Guys,
I've had some problems with the ReadyNAS Duo lately, when sometimes the volume can't be found after reboot. When I shut down the ReadyNAS and boot up again, all works fine. However. In Frontview I have the second disk listed as 'Spare'. This seems odd to me considering I have my two disks in Striping Mode and not in Mirror Mode... Also the 'Smart' button is greyed out while it is available to the other disk.
The disks are Western Digital WD10EARS 1GB disks.
Am I looking at a disk about to die here? :cry:

- I would think it's quite likely you have a failing disk. Is your data backed up?
