How to setup ReadyNAS 104 WITHOUT USING ReadyCLOUD?
I have absolute zero interst in having any of my data stored in the cloud. Also, I don't need to access my data from any where except my our network.
So having said that, t how do I setup the ReadyNAS 104 without using ReadyCLOUD?
Thanks,
TD
You can find the I.P. address in multiple different ways:
- Momentarily press power button and the LCD on the NAS should turn on and show the I.P. address
- looking for the MAC address of the ethernet port in the NAS using your router's attached devices list.
- You can use RAIDar (note this is a local discovery tool that requires Java). It is not necessary to use RAIDar but it is a useful tool.

All you really need to do is turn on the NAS with blank disks installed. Then browse to https://nasipaddress/admin. If it prompts for account credentials use admin/password.
