large USB disk for Sparc and x86 - 4K or 512e?
I need to get two large USB disks for an NV+ and an NVX. Yes, I know the NV+ USB disk cannot exceed 2TB, however it seems many of the modern off the shelf USB disks are using drives with 4Kb sectors....
I think you should be able to though I haven't tried.
You can easily check if the drive is 4k sector partition aligned via SSH if you are comfortable with using that.
You could also test write speeds to make sure they're similar to what you'd get with a 512 byte sector disk.
