Moving HDD's onto new ReadyNAS 102
Hi there,
We have recently had a new Readynas 102 delivered to replace a faulty one which had a broken fan.
Can someone confirm if all we need to do is move over the 2 x HDD's to the new device?
All the configuration details eg IP address, Active Directory details etc are held on the HDD's?
When we move the hard drives over and start up the device it will start with the config it had previously ad no other action will be necessary?
Thanks

Correct

Personally I would install a scratch disk in the replacement first, and make sure the firmware is matches what is on your disks.
That should not be necessary (if there is mismatch, the newer software win out). But I'd still do it.

Hi,
Just to say all was well with swapping over the HDD's.
Thanks for your input.
