Hi,
I have a ReadyNas Duo and have recently noted that a few (null) folder have appeard when I open the NAS drive on my smart TV.
The folder are not present when I open the folders via the PC.
What are they and how do I remove them?
Any help would be appreciated .

- HERBIEOAspirantI would not remove them unless you are sure what they are, i get the same thing when i view my Nas on the network from my media player it shows folders that are not shares, it may be something to do with media player being linux based firmware maybe someone more clued up with linux can confirm why these folders show.
- Mikeybr12AspirantHi,
Thanks for the reply.
I've not had any luck to date regarding the (null) folders.
Mikey B - howskAspirantThe SmartTV is accessing the ReadyNAS via DLNA but your PC will be accessing the shares via CIFS. This is why you don't see them via a PC.
The (null) appears when folders that are included in the ReadyDLNA shares are moved, deleted or renamed. The only way to get rid of the (null) folders showing up on the Smart TV is to perform a rescan within the ReadyDLNA configuration page in FrontView. - Mikeybr12AspirantHi,
Thanks for the reply.
If I can find it I'll give it a go.
Mikey B - Mikeybr12AspirantHi,
Thanks for the reply.
I've tried the rescan as you recommended but unfortunately the (null) folders are still on my TV.
I''ll keep trying.
Mikey B - Mikeybr12AspirantWell after several attempts I've managed to cure the (null) folder problem.
All I had to do was resync the volumes.
Front view > setup > volumes > volume settings > resync volumes:
The problem with (null) folder has disappeared.
Hope this helps other with the same issue.
