  • That's not a lot to go on.  What method are you using to try to access the NAS?  Are you prompted for a user name and password?  Do you remember those?  What error message(s) are you getting.  Does RAIDar show your NAS?  Can you open the admin GUI?

Short answer is you do need to give it a user name and password unless you set up the PC with the same name and password, in which case Windows will pass it on to the NAS.  But how you do that depends on how you are trying to access the NAS.

Also, if your old PC is still running, can you access the NAS from it?

Check the windows credential manager on the PC that works, and see if there is a credential stored for the NAS there.

Try creating a credential on the new PC for the IP address that uses a username that matches one on fhe NAS.  Include the password if you want to automatically connect without needing to enter it.
