NV+ and 3TB HD
Will the ForceExpansion add-on enable the ReadyNAS NV+ to run with 3TB drives?
I am running the 4.1.6 Firmware release.
I currently have 1.5TB Seagate drives and want to expand to 3TB drives.
Is there anything special I will need to do.
Thanks,

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNo. 3TB drives are incompatible with Sparc ReadyNAS (e.g. NV+). 3rd party development for the Sparc platform stopped well before GPT support was added. You can only use hard drives up to 2TB in capacity.
- SupeRavenAspirantJust to confirm, the NV+ will not receive support for >2 TB drives in the future?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWell as a fellow ReadyNAS user, I could only guess, but I think it's highly unlikely the situation will change.
x86 ReadyNAS (e.g. Ultra, Pro) support 3TB drives. I would suggest getting one of these and transferring your data across your network to it (you can't migrate disks from Sparc to x86).
