ReadyNAS Duo V1 cannot access boot menu

The disk leds should flash after about 5 seconds (not the others), and releasing the reset button then should result in the OS install.
The default admin password is netgear1, it might be worth trying that one. The username for https://nas-ip-address/admin has to be "admin" btw.

Do you need the data on the NAS?
If not, you can zero the two drives if you can connect them to a Windows PC (either with a Sata->USB adapter/enclosure, or by connecting the drives via SATA). Western Digital's Lifeguard program has a write-zeros test, the quick version is enough to unformat the disks. Then if you power up with the disks inserted the NAS will automatically do a factory install.
If you do need the data, you could potentially copy the data off from a Windows PC, and then do the zeroing trick. You would need some special tools to get the data off - R-linux for windows should work on disk 1 of the NAS.
