ReadyNAS Duo
New here....just got this box and I'm trying to reset it so I can
1. get access to the web interface and update the firmware
2. reset it to default, so that it can show up on my network for access to the web pages
RAIDar, (RAIDar_Win_4_3_8) sees it but it has an IP I can't access, not on my network: "setup" and "Browse" on RAIDar are all greyd out.
I've downloaded RAIDiator-arm-V5.3.9 to install on it. Is this the latest firmware?
This looks like a cool box, based on what I've read here, can't wait to exhaust it features. Anyone with ideas, please share.
Many thanks!

It was bought without disks, used. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHave you installed a disk yet? It can't be used without a disk installed.

I just now installed a disk, same results as before. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you do a factory default using the boot menu?

I'd like to but don't know how. I'm on Win XP. I think if I do it, things will work out, but don't know how. I was reading up on it but can't be sure I understand what was been said. Perhaps a HowTo from someone who's done it before will work.
Thanks for your help thus far. - nestaAspirantThanks for that. I saw that but I'm confused on this step:
"Press the Backup button to scroll through boot mode options."
There's nothing to see; rahter where can I see to know it's scrolling...there's no GUI. Am I over-thing this? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou should see the light patterns shown in that link as you scroll through the boot options assuming you have the v2.
Can you confirm you have a v2 from reading this article?: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/ - nestaAspirant[quote="mdgm"]You should see the light patterns shown in that link as you scroll through the boot options assuming you have the v2.
Thanks, I'd used that link to check mine at your site, and it's the V2. Underneadth it reads: ReadyNAS Duo RND2110 V2.
On the front it reads: ReadyNAS Duo.
Thanks a lot!
