ReadyNAS NV disk upgrade from 1.2tb to 8tb
I have been trying unsuccessfully to upgrade my existing 4x400 system to 4x2000
Using RAIDar 4.1.8
The 2tb drives are WD20EARS-11J2GB0
I have tries a factory reset with 4 drives. This does not work
I then tried a sinfle disk with Xraid. This worked
I then added a second drive. The resync says 1000+ hours. I left it for the long weekend and it is now 23% with 423 hours to go
There are 2 more drives to install

- Could you hook the drives up to a SATA port on your PC and check them using vendor tools?
- Yes
I have tested them on my PC as SATA drives and they work fine
however the resync on the secon drive is runnubg at 1K, therefore about 20 days per drive
The 1st one installed fine
