RN10200 Cannot login to admin, Unable to reset Password

I am quite desperate and really hope someone will be able to help me. I have all my photos and important files on my NAS for the passt few years and I acannot access it anymore. The problem is that I cannot remember the password I put in place. I tried all the password I use to use and even triede to recover it, but all answers I give to the recovery question don't seem to work. It probably sounds strange, but I really cannot remember the password... Thank you very much in advance for your help!!

OK you need to perform a OS Re-install as shown on Page 19 here

This will reset the user login//password to the default values.

    These are:

    Login: admin

    Password: password

It will also change some of your Internet protocol settings to defaults

DO NOT perform a Factory Default as it will delete all of your data

  • I have the same issue but, I still have access to my files. I can't get into the admin page. I input my log in info and it acts like it's wrong when it's not. I've been logging into the management page for a few years and it never gave me crap until a few days ago. The only thing that I have done that might have caused problems was I replaced a wireless bridge. Which I don't think that could have caused it.

So all computers and game consoles can still access the nas like nothing ever happened. I'm gonna back up all my stuff.... Just in case. And I'm gonna try that os reinstall and see how that flies.
  • Look at the recent ReadyCLOUD threads. My guess is that you use the master ReadyCLOUD account to access the admin page. But that account was unregistered from the NAS.
Try to access the admin page with the local admin account "admin", its default password is "password".
  • Haven't tried your suggestion yet. I have to wait till I get home. But I did try this. this might help in determining what is wrong. When I tried to log into ready cloud I logged in, BUT it didn't show my files. Said it's offline.
  • Ok that worked!. I got in through that admin sign in.

I did notice that my login (the one I was trying to use to log in) got wiped. So did all authorised users for cloud got wiped. And ready cloud was switched off. ?????? Any reason why this might have happened? Was it a security thing?

Try read the other threads, most of the threads under ReadyNAS section in the past two-three days are about this.
