RN104: Sata <-> USB 3.0 converter compatibility
Hi.
Has anyone information about compatibility of SATA <-> USB 3.0 converter (e.g. ICYBOX HDD docking stations) attached to RN104?
Thanks
Norbert
Hello XAffi,
Yes, according to one of the higher tier of support team it should work.

Hello XAffi,
I'm checking this with others. By the way, have you already tried this or not yet?

One poster here said ICYBOX converters worked through 6.4.x, but then failed in 6.5.x. Netgear Support was able to fix it. There's no way to tell from the thread if this was a general issue or a one-of problem.
- XAffiAspirantHi JennC. No. I habe not checked this.
Regards Norbert - XAffiAspirantHi StephenB,
Thanks for the Info. Seems I was not able to find the Info you are refering to... Getting support in general is good enough. Thanks. Norbert- Davexyz2Aspirant
I use Icy Box Raid expansion units
What happened is that in 6.4 (and in all firmwares) the drive is mounted via a start up script when the Readynas starts up. What happeneed in 6.5 was that the external drive needed more time to be recocognised, due to the size of the drive, >6Tb in general, so moving a line of code to the end of the start up script was required. This is now I believe the deafault situation in 6.5.1 and "higher"
