Setting up ReadyCLOUD on ReadyNAS Account permission issues
Hi Everyone,
When I try to setup ReadyCloud on our new ReadyNAS it says a local user account with the same username already exists use a different account. I want to use the account I am trying to set up, already a ReadyCLOUD account, and not make the local accout a cloud account because of Egynte sync permissions.
Any suggestions on ways around this issue?
Thanks in Advance!
Thank you for the update, I will come up with an alternative plan.

Unfortunately, there is no simple work-around. Netgear has chosen that a ReadyCloud user and a local user cannot be the same. They must have separate logins and separate home shares.
The only other option is to go a different route for remote access, using a VPN instead of ReadyCloud.
