Unlocking encrypted RAID with USB disk
Hello,
Apologies if this has been answered before. I couldn't find it here, nor it is mentioned in the manual:
- What filesystem does the USB drive need to be?
MS-DOS FAT / FAT32 surely doesn't work, will try exFAT later when I'm back on site.

The NAS doesn't support exFAT, so that won't work. It does have support for FAT32, NTFS, EXT2/3 and BTRFS. I suggest also making sure that the drive has only one partition.
I don't know if there is a further restriction on the format.

Thanks Stephen.
I used to unlock it with an external HDD attached to the NAS permanently, but that's gone now.
That being said, I'm absolutely sure it was not NTFS or btrfs.
That leaves ext2/3 on the table I guess?

Yes. Though I'd have thought that fat32 would work for this.
