Which device is recomened for off site backup?
Hello. We have two Readynas Pro devices at our office. Each only uses under 500gig space.
I wish to replicate the data to an offsite device for backup purposes.
I do not require dual ports. Just the ability tom replicate. Which device is the cheapest available?
Also, is there a difference with Replicate and using rsync?
Thanks

It's recommended to us a ReadyNAS Pro Series device though (Pro 2/4/6). - japennellAspirantCan you assist me by explaining why ReadyNas Pro is the recommended? Please keep in mind this unit is meant for off site storage.

Replicate uses Rsync. It's better than simply using Rsync as it allows you to keep multiple revisions of your files and control backups between your ReadyNAS units using a single web admin interface, amongst other nice features. Have a read of http://www.readynas.com/replicate
