Can't access the Nas Drive
Johnny,
Is there anyone working at Egnyte support? Having a lot of issues and i was hoping it can get resolved. Currently i can't map the elc folder (but other shares will work just fine).
Can one of you all contact me?
Thanks,
Bar

I am trying to map the NAS drive and sync with the local cloud. There has to be some problem with the permissions because i am not able to get to the elc\shared folder but if i create a new shared folder in the Nas Frontview i can access that folder. Already submitted a ticket but didn't hear anything from anyone. Can you please assist with this?
Thanks,
Bar - rramAspirantBar
Sorry about the mapping issues, i will have support call you in the morning Sunday to follow up on this. - JohnnyEgnyteAspirantThere you go Bar, I submitted your request and pointed the support staff to this thread.
Like rram mentioned, support will contact you soon to resolve your specific issue.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
~ Johnny - grazmanAspirantI also have the same problem. Followed the instructions on the egnyte site. Update to firmware 4.2.17, loaded the addon, created the local account and mapped them. Cannot map a drive to the egnyte share. What is the point of the forum if the information is not shared and getting referred to support? If there is a known solution, issue or anything else, it should obviously be posted one would think.
- JohnnyEgnyteAspirantThanks for your input grazman. The reason we recommend customers go through support is because every case is different, there are many combinations of ReadyNAS devices and operating systems. Often times there isn't just one general solution that can solve the issue for everyone.
But if the problem is a general issue users are experiencing, I will make sure to post the solution here.
For your specific case, you should check if folder permissions are set on the cloud file server (CFS) for the newly added users. Also make sure that the initial sync is completed before mapping the users to the OLC share to allow the propagation of folder permissions from CFS to NAS.
~ Johnny - grazmanAspirantThanks. I reset all permissions after removing all user mappings, syncing, remapping all users, syncing.
I am stuck waiting for support. - JohnnyEgnyteAspirantI'm happy to help grazman.
Can you message me with your Egnyte domain name or ticket #?
I would like to personally follow this issue through to make sure that it gets resolved.
~ Johnny
