New Transmission 2.84 add-on for ReadyNAS Duo/NV+ (sparc)
This is a newly compiled version for the Duo straight from source. It has been configured with "--disable-nls --enable-lightweight --enable-utp" and the default web interface port of 9091.
If it doesn't work after installation, try rebooting.
Not sure if it can be install over the top of super-poussin's version, but if you are planning on uninstalling super-poussin's version then remember to save the torrent files somewhere else first.
To quote myself:
Thanks to super-poussin for the original Transmission add-ons.
Enjoy!

tarobun wrote: It looks like upgrading from Transmission 2.42 to this Transmission add-on is a no-no. Sounds like there are conflicting configuration that screws up both installs. :( (eg. /c/addons-config)
It seems the best approach is to fully uninstall the old, delete the config directory, and then install this add-on. Once you're on this add-on, updating is straightforward and can be done over the existing version.
Just a fyi - the default download dir is /var/local/Downloads and there is no username and password with this add-on. If you are prompted for them then the old version was not fully uninstalled.

- Mr_BGuidejust a thought. It might be time to include info such as default user, and passwords, the info is buried in older threads, where new users wont find them if / when they look for them. And i can t for the life of me remember what they are, or i would have put it here. It should be in the first post really...
B! - cachiAspirantHi,
I've received a ReadyNAS NV+ v1 this week by a friend as a present, it's an used unit, but it looks as a new one :) I've installed 4.1.11 and Transmission 2.77 on it.
I don't know so much about this unit, but something is going wrong with this add-on. I've modified rpc-username and rpc-password, and enabled rpc-authentication, as you can see in the following capture.
With this settings, that have been modified through Apple Terminal through SSH, there's no way to log in Web Interface :( So I decided to disable authentication...
In other hand is that it's downloading very very very slow... there's any hide setting or something weird that must be changed??
Thanks!!!!! - Mr_BGuideDefine very slow? This isn't a very fast unit.
Also, check your memory requirements, and if you got upgraded memory in your box or if it's the stock 256MB.
B! - cachiAspirantWhen I say very slow I mean the downloading connection. I've a laptop which I only use for downloading. It's connected to the router through wireless connection and the download speed is 900-1200kb/s. The NAS is downloading only up to 400kb/s connected through wired ethernet... :(
It has only 256MB, I've bought 1GB but I'm still waiting the shipment.
Where can I check the memory requirements??
Thanks for your reply!!!!! :) - Mr_BGuideThere isn't any official "memory requirements" to be checked against as far as i know of, but it's a fairly well known fact that performance suffer with the original memory amount. But in my world you should still be able to get more then 400kB/s. I've been running in the area 2-3MB/s, with the rare 4MB/s showing it's ugly face every week with 2 Sundays in it. I'm not sure, but i don't think anyone squeezed more speed out of transmission then that. You can check cache size, turn off, or set encryption to optional, to try and get a weee bit more, but thats about it.
B! - pugilaresAspirantI have installation file for Transmission 2.42. It is Transmission_2.42.bin. Size of this file on disk is 21 171 KB. I have also installation file for Transmission 2.77, which is Transmission_2.77.bin. Size of this file on disk is only 1 791 KB. I didn't try to install 2.77 yet. Could you tell me if it's all right that 2.77 installation file is so much smaller that 2.42?

B! - pugilaresAspirantThank's a lot :-)
- pugilaresAspirantJust upgraded by first making copy of configuration files from 2.42, then uninstall of 2.42, install 2.77, copy configuration files to /c/addons-config/Transmission/ and it seems to work fine! Thank's a lot guys :-)
- siecoAspirantI ahve today loaded transmission 2,77 sparc to My ReadyNas Duo, but it wont run any downloads and keeps telling me that it could not connect to the server, help.
