New Transmission 2.84 add-on for ReadyNAS Duo/NV+ (sparc)
This is a newly compiled version for the Duo straight from source. It has been configured with "--disable-nls --enable-lightweight --enable-utp" and the default web interface port of 9091.
If it doesn't work after installation, try rebooting.
Not sure if it can be install over the top of super-poussin's version, but if you are planning on uninstalling super-poussin's version then remember to save the torrent files somewhere else first.
To quote myself:
Thanks to super-poussin for the original Transmission add-ons.
Enjoy!

tarobun wrote: It looks like upgrading from Transmission 2.42 to this Transmission add-on is a no-no. Sounds like there are conflicting configuration that screws up both installs. :( (eg. /c/addons-config)
It seems the best approach is to fully uninstall the old, delete the config directory, and then install this add-on. Once you're on this add-on, updating is straightforward and can be done over the existing version.
Just a fyi - the default download dir is /var/local/Downloads and there is no username and password with this add-on. If you are prompted for them then the old version was not fully uninstalled.
Thanks to super-poussin for the original Transmission add-ons.

Hmm, strange.
The problem is that Transmission doesn't start. And I can't access the web gui. But after I executed your commands Transmission read the settings and encrypted my password. So something has changed. But it still don't work.
It might be better to start all over. How do I get rid of Transmission completely? Will it be enough to remove the add-on from Frontview and then the rest that is left of these:# find / \( -path '/c' -o -path '/USB' \) -prune -or -iname '*transmission*' -exec ls -ld {} \;

Or do I have to tinker with some other files?
And what is /root/.config/ ? - tarobunTutorLooks like there are some old transmission files:
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 7593660 Oct 31 2011 /usr/local/bin/transmission-cli
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 7808113 Oct 31 2011 /usr/local/bin/transmission-create
Best way to start again is to install the same add-on and then uninstall it. It should remove all related add-on files.
The /root/.config/transmission-daemon is the default location of the config files if you do not specify the TRANSMISSION_HOME env variable. You can safely delete this directory. - etonLuminary

I actually did install and uninstall super-poussin' and WhoCares' Transmission versions before installing your version. But now I went through that procedure again. Uninstalled yours, installed WhoCares' version and uninstalled it, installed super-poussin' and uninstalled. But these files remains:# find / \( -path '/c' -o -path '/USB' \) -prune -or -iname '*transmission*' -exec ls -ld {} \;

Can those files be safely deleted? - etonLuminaryUpdate. I deleted the files listed above (also /c/addons-config/Transmission) and after that the installation of tarobun's Transmission went just fine!
- etonLuminaryFeedback.
The fresh install of tarobun's version of Transmission has been working quite well. But downloaded torrents often gets tracker errors. So I can't seed them. The only way I've found working to repair that is to restart Transmission from Frontview, tedious. Is this just my NAS or does others experience the same thing with their installations. This problem was rare with super-poussin's version.
