  • Govnah,

Thank you!! When I try to cd \ into that directory though it says that the Plex Media Server directory doesn't exist. I think I have stopped the server with the ctl stop etc. When I do a ls Plex Media Server is in the MediaLibrary. Any suggestions or instructions?
  • Well, I see your profile says you're using a Duo... runs very different OS than the RN516 that Govnah is using. The base path for 4.x (and as far as I know 5.x) OS'es is /c/.plex/

    On my Pro 6 (4.2.22), I found it at /c/.plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Preferences.xml

Indeed, on my RN516 (6.0.6), I did find it at /apps/plexmediaserver/MediaLibrary/Plex Media Server/Preferences.xml

btaroli, cat509 did claim to be using OS 6 in the first post so I assume he has a new NAS.

cat509 you need to escape the space e.g.

    # cd /apps/plexmediaserver/MediaLibrary/Plex\ Media\ Server

    Or try

    # cd "/apps/plexmediaserver/MediaLibrary/Plex Media Server"
  • btaroli have a new 312 that runs os 6. I forgot to change that in my profile. But it was exactly where you said it would be. Thanks again for your help!

mdgm thank you for your help as well. Your line did the trick. I was able to edit my Preferences.xml and now can get in to my Plex Media Server again.

    Thanks again for everyone's help!!
