Hi everyone,

I recently upgraded my firmware from 6.2.2 - 6.9.1

Everything seems ok, I can still access my files through the network but when I want to watch movies on the ps4, I noticed the netgear media server is not showing up anymore, tried rebooting same thing. So I tried to disable & enable the DLNA & comes up with this error: 1002030001 - Commit failed.

Its enabled but media server not showing...I think this error is causing the media server not to work...=(....can anyone help me on this one? I would appriecate it. Thanks.

Kind Regards,

Ben

Did you update from 6.2.x to 6.5.2 as the Release Notes communicates is necessary before updating to 6.9.1?

      Hi mdgm,
Thanks for your reply. I read the notes and what i think, i remember is that mine originally was on 6.2.2 and notes said if its below 6.2.1, you'll need to do that right. But if 6.2.2, you can upgrade automatically. When i did do the firmware upgrade, it upgraded it to a firmware (can't remember which one is was) automatically, then rebooted, then another firmware upgrade to 6.9.1. If i was suppose to upgrade the firmware manually to 6.5.2, then i didn't do it.... =(....does this mean I've stuffed up my readynas....is there a fix for that....??? Now im so stressed.... =( =(=(

Looks like it did upgrade to 6.5.2 then 6.9.1.

I was suppose to update to either 6.2.5 or 6.3.5 then to 6.5.2 but I didn't. Does this mean I will have to back up the 3.63 TB of data to an external hard drive, then do a factory /reset to fix this issue I'm having?

  • Hi everyone,

I've back up my data, what should I do? Factory default or OS reinstall?

  • Hi all,

I end up doing a factory default on my readynas 102. After 15 minutes, started up normally the start up wizard. I followed this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e3oWM4dR24

Copied some files from the backed up hard drive to the readynas & the media server (DLNA) is working now on on my ps4, when I enabled the DLNA. I can now copy files, rename them, create folders....etc...without errors. Hopefully this information will help someone.
