Access admin page from the internet.
Hello! I've just setup my new RN102 and have not had any major issues with it except for one. I want to be able to access the admin page from outside my network (from the internet). Using readyCLOUD, ...
If you are not concerned by security then I can't see any problem using port redirect.
when you only type the NAS address, default is to use http, not https. This means you use port 80TCP and not port 443TCP. I think in local the NAS does the redirection, but remotely if you redirect to a port that is closed...
I don't know for the netgear tool.
For readycloud I think it's the web portal that lets you manage the NAS and transfer files. As for it being the replacement of remote, I don't think of it like that. Remote integrates in the OS and provides a better experience IMO. Readycloud is there to let you browse your files when you can't have that experience.
I'd personally like to use readycloud but since I also use active directory and that those are mutually exclusive I'm stuck with it set to off.
