Backing up from a 2100 at my office to a 2100 at data ctr
I have 2 ReadyNAS 2100 units with the exact same specs. I'm trying to get my in-house unit to back up to an offsite unit at our data center. I haven't done a backup like this before and am wondering if anyone has any ideas on how this could work. Will FrontView work?

- ReadySECUREApprenticeReadyNAS Replicate would work great for that, or you can setup rsync over ssh on the NAS to do a backup. Look in backup jobs and you can configure everything right there for copying files to an off-site source. Of course, you'll need to forward ports from your firewall to your NAS on both sides (SSH port and/or just RSYNC if you choose not to use SSH).
- HBI_SupportAspirantDo you know if I would need 2 Replicate licenses or just one?
- ReadySECUREApprentice1 Replicate license for each device.
2 ReadyNAS will need 2 license keys.

Make sure you are looking at Rackmount unit licenses and not the Desktop unit licenses. - HBI_SupportAspirantThanks for the help! Rsync is working great so far!
- ReadySECUREApprenticeNo problem. Welcome to the ReadyNAS forums :)
