Best File System for a USB Share
Hello, I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 using RAID Level X-RAID2, 4 disks (3TB each) meaning that I have around 8 TB capacity only for files. I'm running out of space at this moment so I just bought a USB...

You should avoid disconnecting it without ejecting first. Even NTFS will get corrupted if you do that enough, and probably quicker than EXT3 would at that.
If you hold down the backup button for 5 seconds, it will perform a USB eject, then you can safely remove it. That way you don't need to go into FrontView to do it.
The Enable Fast USB Writes turns on write caching. Speed will be faster, but disconnects without ejecting will cause even more data loss/corruption with that option enabled.
