CIFS won't mount after update to 4.1.9
System is ReadyNAS NV+
Running Mac OS X ver. 10.7.4
Just updated Radiator from 4.1.8 to 4.1.9.
When trying to access any CIFS share, I get the error message "The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “<sharename>” can’t be found."
Everything was working fine on Radiator 4.1.8
Thanks for any help.

OS 10.7.4, NV+ working fine, some CIFS / AFP shares, one share that is supposed to be CIFS/AFP and has a password (all numbers due to past issues). I can access the other shares using AFP, even just going to the apple menu and recent items was enough. But I cannot connect to the password protected share at all. I am loathe to disable the password but if that is the only solution then maybe it is the one. :(
Also I see others going back to 4.1.8, is this a simple case of download the file from the page http://www.readynas.com/?cat=8 and install. Any guides on installing downgrades of firmware about?
I've had my ReadyNAS a while (Infrant kind of while) had the PSU issue but can't recall a backwards step in functionality from a new release of software ever before :slap:
p4pictures - p4picturesAspirantI've found 4.1.8 and managed to go back to it for now... hoping to see 4.1.9 get fixed soon, but won't be updating to it for a while I think :-(
- pugilaresAspirantIf you don't want to see 4.1.9 on your box again soon you need to make sure that an automatic update is turned off in Frontview.
- p4picturesAspirantThanks for the reminder about the auto update, done now.
One thing is that my password protected share is still in the share folder group "nogroup" and I can't access it still. What should it be in (originally in 4.1.8 ), i'm only using share level access nothing with users. I just found that all my shares are in nogroup and the ones without password are fine and accessible. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you like please try 4.1.10 beta: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=59222
I can confirm that the issue is fixed in the beta firmware. - Matco212AspirantI had to downgrade to 4.1.8 and then follow the instructions by: despaws » Tue Jul 10, 2012 8:49 pm
