Detected increasing command timeouts after move to 4.2.24
Hi
I've encountered the following message on each of my 3 drives in a ReadyNAS Pro immediately after making the move to 4.2.24. Error message fires every few minutes.
Detected increasing command timeouts[2342] on disk 2 [ST31000524NS, 9WK1YFZR]. This often indicates an impending failure. Please be prepared to replace this disk to maintain data redundancy.
I picked up new drives and went to replace one of them to see if it would solve the issue at least on one drive as a test and ever since making that move the entire volume and all shares do not appear to be visible via Frontview. Need some help as I don't want to go any further for fear of losing the data. I have the log files but they are about 150MB zipped.
Thanks,
RH

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredContact support (see the Online Submission link in my sig).
- rhaisingerAspirantThanks - my apologies - first support request.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredBest to work with support when data is as stake. Could just be huge log files causing issues or it could be more serious than that.
What web browser and version are you using? Do you have a screenshot of the problem?
Also can you still access your data even though the shares don't show up in Frontview? - rhaisingerAspirantThanks - waiting patiently for a response from support while sweating and hoping that this doesn't end really badly. :-\
I'm using Chrome Version 30.0.1599.101 m I also have IE 10 installed but don't really use it much.
I can't seem to attach an image but the little popup I get in FrontView (when I click on Volume in the Navigation bar) reads very simply:
No volume exists. Some menu options are available only if a valid volume exists.
I just tried to access the shares and they actually show up when I hit the device - all of the root level shares appear but I can't seem to navigate into any of the folders.... I try to enter the folder and it just times out and then I get a Windows Network Error saying that it can't access the folder.
