Factory Reset Help
Hello, I'm new to this so please bear with me........I have been trying to update the firmware on my ReadyNAS Duo V2 from 5.3.7 to 5.3.8. I have tried to update it using the Dashboard but this did not...

I guess the theory here is that that NAS will update the firmware on its own when the original disks are inserted? Not sure that it will work when the straightforward methods fail, but it is conceivable.

Update the firmware if you can.
Power down the unit and remove the spare disk, reinsert the original disks.
Try to boot the unit...
I guess the first thing I'd do at this point is make a backup. That probably requires getting the NAS back to the home network (and if that fails, doing a traditional OS reinstall).
