Getting Error 0x80070027: Disk is full
Hi I just installed my ReadyNAS NV+ V2. I'm trying to copy all my music from my PC to the NAS, but I'm getting the error message 0x80070027 all the time and when I just push try again it continues withou problems. Every time I do something on my PC like starting a new program or a simple command i get this error. I also get it when not doing anything else on my computer, just letting the copyjob run.
Its rather frustrating, I cant sit and babywatch the copy job for like 60Gb of data.
My 2x 2TB disks are newly installed and completely empty, so its not the space. In addition i think the copy process is rather slow, im just getting 9 Mb/sec. So is there a way to improve this in addition to an errorfree copy?

- jimbo34Aspirantjust bought a Duo V2 and tried to set it up last night. Initial installation seemed easy then tried to copy 5gb of mp3 files over, only to be met with a constant disc full error. Am disappointed as I bought the duo 2 as an easy (but expensive!) solution to stream media around my house. However, if I cant do something as basic as copying files across then I'll return the thing and buy something else. I'm running windows 7 x86 with PC and NAS connected via a linksys DIR-600.
I've just noticed that a new firmware 5.3.4 was released. Should this solve the problem? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNot mentioned in the Release Notes (http://www.readynas.com/RAIDiator_arm_5_3_4_Notes) so I doubt it addresses this issue.
- Ricky2AspirantAlso bought a ReadyNas Duo V2 recently, same disk full problem when trying to copy a 100 folders each containing a dozen Mp3 files. Will also be returning this unit unless there is a fix soon. Unusable as it is now, gives error after copying only a few folders, there is no pattern that I can see. Can retry copy and it copies beyond where it failed before until the next failure. Had a V1 Duo that had none of these problems. Also V2 had no SqueezeCentre addon as standard, had to go searching around for that too! Very disappointed with this product.
- furunasAspirantI have had the same Disk full problem and it was driving me crazy trying to copy files to the NAS.
But when I connected the ReadyNAS Duo V2 to a gigabit switch and my computers to the same switch, and then connected the switch to my router everything started working. I have now managed to transfer all my mp3-files, a 75 GB file and thousands of other files of various sizes without a single error. :D - jose3AspirantAfter upgrading to 5.3.4 firmware, I am still getting this error when copying files (also music) to the NAS. Unfortunatelly I do not have a Gigabit Hub, nor will I ever have one since I am on a WLAN at home, so if that is a requirement to get this going, then the Duo will have to go... :(
Is there any hope? - carlf1AspirantI also experience this error, but only when copying from my Win XP HTPC. When copying from my Macbook Pro everything works.
Still very annoying though. - jimbo34Aspirant

In the end, I bought a Netgear gigabit switch which solved the problem. I wasn't happy about throwing more money at them but to be fair it was only another 20 or $30 and transfers are much quicker now. Strange thing was when I tried to recopy the mp3's it gave me the same disk full message but this went away after 1 or 2 "try agains", as if a default setting had updated in the NAS/w7. Thought this might help. - mmaratAspirantHi,
I believe, the problem is caused by bug in samba code. So, only windows client ( CIFS) experience the problem.
( should work fine for ftp/sftp/scp, I guess ).
It looks like a patch fixing this issue has been released in the samba version 3.5.13 at march 22nd.
I hope , it will not take a long time for Netgear to implement the changes.

Regards, Marat - riley1AspirantI bought my duo v2 yesterday and this is really disappointing.
Current samba version is 3.5.11. Have anyone tried to build and install the new version? - rogkAspirantI have this problem too, but only from one of my 2 PCs.
I have firmware version 5.3.4
Both of my PCs windows7 64bit
I tried to copy a dvd iso image of 7GB to the NAS. It failed with the "disk is full" error. I made several attempts but no luck. I then copied the file via my network to the other PC and from there to the NAS, no problems.
I can copy the file back to the PC from the NAS with no problems.
The network controller on the failing PC is a Realtek PCIe GBE family controller.
The network controller on the working PC is a Marvell Yukon 88E8056 GBE controller.
My router is a Netgear DGN3500
update:
I've noticed that when transfering files, the port lights on my router flicker very rapidly as expected for the ports attached to the sending PC and the NAS . After a while, they go nearly solid for a few seconds (maybe a couple of brief flashes), then the one connected to my PC goes out for about a second and then I get the error.
Hope this helps diagnose the problem.
All my equipment is Gbit.
