Hard drive replacement

Hello

I have a ReadyNas Duo with 2 x 2tb drives installed.

I use the device solely for backing up files from my Naim Audio Uniti Serve.

The drives in the NAS are nearly full and so I was thinking about replacing them with, say, 2 new 3tb drives.

Is this a failry easy/straightforward process?

    If you are running 4.1.x firmware, then it is not possible - the duo v1 platform is limited to 2 TB drives.

      Hello SRMT123,

       

      Like StephenB mentioned, Sparc based NAS which is an OS4 can only support max of 2TB size of disk. That's the first thing to check. 

       

      Also, always have full backup, esp. you are planning to replace the disks. Please also check HCL when purchasing replacement disks.
