How to access Frontview from remote?

I expected that "https://MyIP:443" would get me to the Frontview. (MyIP being the IP-adress and router forwarding 443). Alas, it does not.

I am asked to enter ID/PsW (use the Admin as UID and corresponding Password) but then I am sent to MyIP/shares and not Frontview.

So how do I get to Frontview from a remote location?

PS: there are no problems when using FTP and the admin account then all is shown.

You need to go to https://MyIP/admin to access Frontview

By default https://MyIP would redirect to https access to shares you've enabled access to over that protocol under Shares > Share Listing in Frontview. Though you can change that to point to a different share. For security reasons it's good that things work this way when exposing the NAS to the internet as it's that little bit harder for an attacker to find the admin section and attempt to break in. Do make sure you have a strong password set for the admin user.

    Edit: beaten.
