How to Power of Readynas NVX with iPhone/iPad
Hi,
I want to switch on and switch off my readynas NVX when i'm at home with my iPhone. Whitout walking to the ceiling.
With a PC it's easy Wake on Lan to switch on
and off with Curl from http://curl.haxx.se/
Send string:
@ECHO Powering OFF NAScurlx64 -u admin:password -k -d command=poweroff -d shutdown_option=1 -d OPERATION=set -d PAGE=System -d OUTER_TAB=tab_shutdown -d INNER_TAB=none https://MAC.adress/get_handler
But when i want to see a movie from the NAS i have no PC on, and close by. So with my Iphone i hope it can do the trick
Switch on is easy with a wake on lan.
"Mocha WOL" for Iphone does the job with only the mac adres of the Nas.
But off i can't findout, i see an app. called "iCurl" witch send you right away to the site of Curl.. http://curl.haxx.se/ which does the job with my PC
But i have not a clue how this progam can do the job on my iPhone.
Is there someone who can switch of the readynas with his iPhone.

- Just go to the shutdown url directly. I use WGET on a PC but you could use your app, probably. The URL will look something like this:
https://ip_address_of_your_nas/get_handler?PAGE=System&OUTER_TAB=tab_shutdown&INNER_TAB=NONE&shutdown_option1=1&command=poweroff&OPERATION=set
You will also have to feed it your login credentials.
You might have to muck around in the HTML in Frontview to get another URL, dunno if the ARM devices have the same file names/structure in their Raidiator. - I would consider to just activate disk spin-down. With the disks in sleep mode the NAS use a trivial amount of electricity!
- Just access Frontview using the iphone browser and your NAS ip address/admin.
