It is possible to disable the auto boot on Power on for ReadyNAS Pro (6) OS 6.4.1?
I have a legacy ReadyNAS Pro and a ReadyNAS Pro 6 (RNDP6000-V2)
Both are running 6.4.1
Both have BIOS 07/26/2010 FLAME6-MB V2.0
Unfortunately both automatically boot on mains power on. I really would prefer them to be manually powered on with the button on the front *after* the mains is applied.
I've looked through the BIOS. No suitable options in there.
Is this indeed possible?

Doubtfully.
If you looked in the BIOS menu and did not see auto-power-on options, then it is likely built into the BIOS and therefore not changable.
Pro 6 is no longer being developed upon, so I doubt we would see any option to disable/enable this.
I also use a Pro 6 with OS 6 on it. I unplug it when I am not there, and when I'm ready to use it, I plug it in and it comes on.
Maybe you can consider using a power strip to just flip when you shut down your main power.- Spike1000Aspirant
Thank you for you speedy reply. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be possible I was hoping for a 'magic' jumper setting that would disable the auto boot.
I run the NAS Pros from a switched powerbar but they both come on when the bar is switched on. I only use the NAS Pros for backup so they don't need to be on unless I want to run a backup. Access to the rear power switches is impossible so I'll have to rig up a secondary pair of mains switches. Fiddly but possible.
Cheers
