management system is offline again
hi, so ive had my readynas system for a little over two months now and im still having problem i have sent logs in a few times to try and resolve it but no suggestion seems to fix it.
just about every day or everyother day the the management system is offline. while its in this mode i can access everything as normal locally and unless i specifcally look at the unit or open raidr i would have no idea thats its even crashed. 9/10 times after ive rebooted one of the disks degrades and starts resyncing. i only ever find out its in this mode when i try to access the readycloud and the readynas is showing offline and i cant access anything remotely which is a huge convenience as ive now had to start copying files i might need to my icloud drive so i can get access to them at work which defeats the point of this system.
i would like to point out i am using western digital reds which are on the combatible lists they were all brand new when i bought them and the logs for the hdd has no errors
i updated to the latest beta before 6.5 came out as an admin said i should as it would fix other problems i was having and since then the actuall firmware was released which i have installed
im pretty much at the end of trying and am considering sending the unit back. and going with a different manufacturer alltogether i got this nas to make my life easier and its been nothing but a headache. im constantly having to troubleshoot problems with it i am not a computer expert and it appears to own one of these you have to be.
i have sent my logs in just now, hopefully we can sort this once and for all.
many thanks
Your logs are showing that your system is OOMing. Plex is using a lot of memory. You may wish to contact support as StephenB suggested.
It looks like you have two different versions of Plex installed.

Have you tried Netgear support (support.netgear.com). You should still be in your 90-day complimentary support window.

so after your post i removed plex for a few days to see if it that would help it. and it has it hasnt gone offline since which is much better. the main reason why i opted for this model is because of plex. so hopefully the guys at plex can figure out what the issue is and fix it for another release.
for now ive put plex on the pc and set it to read from the nas so its not all bad.
thanks for the help
