My NV+ out of hardware warranty - assuming power supply dead - $75 per issue - is it worth it?

I can't believe this!!!! I did EVERYTHING - new power cord, different UPS, different power sockets (UPS vs wall), old fan back in, old fan replaced with new fan, trying to power up without any drives - nothing. Every morning and evening I would hit the power button hoping that it would so any signs of life. I had a dead fish NV+

Today, though, it was as if lightning hit the NV+!. After over a week of it sitting there dead, it tuns on and boots fine! In the meantime,while the NV+ was dead, I decided to send back the QNAP replacement NAS and try to fix the NV+. I ordered the replacement power supply from the UK (I'm still waiting for it) and my plan was to replace the PS as a last ditch effort to save my NV+. But it came out of its coma and is fine now (except for the original problem of the failing fan, which is still in the NV+). Nothing anomalous shows in the logs, but RAIDar does not show any status for the fan, no green bubble, no bubble at all. But it'a been cool the past few days, so I would expect the NV+ not to need any additional cooling for now.

Does anyone have an inkling of what may have happed here? Why leaving the NV+ dead for over a week would it suddendly start working again? Any thought except for divine intervention will be thoroughly considered.
