You should reinstall the original fan and see if works again. I saw one review on the Noctua that said that some of the non-PWM fans were mislabeled as PWM. I have no experience with ReadyNAS but if it requires a PWM fan and you unintentionally installed a non-PWM, then this could be the issue.

Well, I'm glad I decided to copy off my miscellaneous items from the NV+; it's back in a coma.
The last warning I got was that the max running temp was being exceeded. So I guess that the old fan stopped runnung completely or the PS got too hot and shut down. It shows me that I have a heat problem (the new PS' are supposed to be cooler).
i'm glad that I finally havn answer - the enemy of all computers - heat :manmad:
