My ReadyNAS 214 wont shutdown -> do_exit+8c4

Hello community,

I have a problem with my RN214. It`s not shutting down properly. It makes no difference if I do it from the webgui nor with the power bottom. After a few seconds it shows "do_exit+8c4" on the display and nothing happens after that. Currently have the newest firmware installed -> 6.4.2.
I have read a few posts about this issue but the only "solution" was to change the bond mode from LACP (which I had also configured) to ALB or TLB. Now I have changed my mode to ALB the same message accured on the display. :smileyfrustrated:

I don' t know what to do. I also found nothing in the webgui logs nor system logs (ssh).

Can anyone can get me a hand?

Thank you

Kalle

    Hi Kalle13,

    Welcome to the community!

Would you mind if you will try to break the bond and just use on active NIC in your ReadyNAS? Also, tell us if you have power timer scheduled on your device.

    Kind regards,

      Hi BrianL,

thank you for your reply. I know what you are thinking, but this feature is important to me. Not because I need it, it' s just because I want to have it.:smileyvery-happy:

But why is it that way, just because I use an bond option the NAS won' t shutdown? In my opinion these features are not good implemented.

You are right. Until yesterday this "power timer" option was checked. Now I will try if this option was the case.

      Best regards

      Kalle

I have tried it with the unactivated power option but no success.
        It won' t shutdown properly.

        Best regards
        Kalle
