Netgear ReadyNAS 1100 - spec's and limitations?
I got offered one of these for a fair price, but i suspect they are getting rid of them just in time. They are Readynas NV+ relatives, sparc based, 2TB / drive limit applies and so on? How is the perf...

Any idea on what firmware is the latest, and where / if anyone could get their hands on it? On a working unit, is there anything special one should know to look for? I managed to find a few images online, it looks like it uses a socket for the memory, just as the NV+ does.
Whats with the "internal USB key"? Is it instead of having a bit of flash on the motherboard, or creating a boot partition on the array for the system? Can/should one make a backup, does size & speed of said stick matter? (More then likely the size is an issue of having to large sticks, rather then not large enough. Would this be an issue)
