NFS connection timeout on ReadyNas Duo

Hi,

Our Readynas Duo is up to date (firmware version : RAIDiator 4.1.10).

I wanted to create a first NFS share, but I'm unable to access it.
I've tried many differents options but it allways fails with a timeout : "Connection timed out"

# mount -t nfs 192.168.2.2:/c/essai /mnt/essai -o nfsvers=3 -v
mount.nfs: timeout set for Tue Oct 16 09:33:12 2012
mount.nfs: trying text-based options 'nfsvers=3,addr=192.168.2.2'
mount.nfs: prog 100003, trying vers=3, prot=6
mount.nfs: trying 192.168.2.2 prog 100003 vers 3 prot TCP port 2049
mount.nfs: prog 100005, trying vers=3, prot=17
mount.nfs: trying 192.168.2.2 prog 100005 vers 3 prot UDP port 3074
mount.nfs: mount(2): Connection timed out
mount.nfs: Connection timed out

Error is the same from both ubuntu and debian clients.
And from both of these clients, I'm using nfs shares from other servers which are working properly.

Any idea ?

  • did you start portmap on your Linux clients?

use this command "ps -ef |grep portmap" to check if portmap is running.
  • I've rpcbind on the clients and it is working like a charm with another nfs server.
