NV+ Boot Issues - Weird LED Pattern Case #16319419
I checked out the LED patterns here: http://www.readynas.com/download/docume ... AS-LED.pdf
There wasn't a pattern that matched mine, so I'm hoping someone can lead me in the right direction for this.
When I turn the power button on, Disk 1 LED blinks 2 times slowly, then All LEDs blink and Power Button 3 times fast.
Please tell me there is something I can do, all my data is there and not backed up.
Thanks.

The LCD never comes on or shows anything, and RAIDar can't find the NAS, it scans but I get the little help screen.
This happened after a small power outage last night, my Mac and ReadyNAS both went down.
The ReadyNAS was plugged into an APS but apparently it didn't keep it on or not long enough for me to get to to turn off the NAS. - ChrisMc73AspirantI tried to hold the power button for 5 seconds to get to some of those options, but nothing ever shows up on the LCD screen, so I don't think thats working either.
I've reseated all 4 drives, the memory SIMM as well. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredPlease open an online technical support case (see Online Submission link in my sig). Please edit the title of this thread (i.e. the subject of the first post) to include your case number.
- ChrisMc73AspirantOk, that doesn't sound good. Thanks.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredBtw you can get UPS units which allow you to connect a UPS to your NAS. In addition to connecting the ReadyNAS's power cable to the UPS you can connect a USB cable to the UPS. Consult the HCL.
Does your UPS provide surge protection? Do you have an ethernet surge protector on the NAS end of the ethernet cable plugged into the NAS?
Do the network lights light up at all when you turn the NAS on? Have you tried a different ethernet cable? Have you checked to make sure your router/switch is working properly? - ChrisMc73Aspirant

The UPS unit is an APC 500, I think it has surge protection, I thought it did. I don't have surge protection on the ethernet line, no.
I just tried a new ethernet cable, cause I didn't see any lights on the switch in that port when I turned on the NAS, the cable switch didn't work.
But, when I moved the cable from the switch it was plugged into, and now into the router, the port the NAS is on is lit up and blinking, but still won't boot up properly.
The rest of the network is working fine, switches and routers all work, other devices on them are working. - ChrisMc73AspirantIn fact here is a test post from a laptop plugged in directly into the same place the NAS was plugged into. So that switch and router both work great.
- ChrisMc73AspirantDo you think this sounds like a hardware issue or something with the firmware?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI'd be inclined to think a hardware issue, considering the power failure.
