- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhich Duo do you have? See How to tell whether I have a Duo v1 or Duo v2 or NV+ v1 or NV+ v2
If you have the v1, take a look at http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=54543
If you have the v2, take a look at http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=59441 - maverick56AspirantThanks mdgm,
I thinks I have the V1 ...
I looked your link, but is there a free update ?
Can I update with a apt-get in the system ?
Something link this : http://phpsymfony.com/index.php?post/2010/07/19/%5BPHP%5D-Mise-%C3%A0-jour-php-vers-5.3
Merci - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThe V1 is Debian sarge. So using apt-get to install PHP 5.3 is not an option. You'd need to compile from source or possibly even backport it depending on its dependencies etc.
When did you purchase your Duo? - maverick56AspirantLast year, but it was an occasion ...
Why this question ?
Thanks for your help. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you had only just purchased it, I would've suggested checking to see if your reseller accepts change of mind returns. The new Duo v2 is on Debian Squeeze so is far more up to date in what packages can easily be installed on it.
Frontview (web-interface) of the Duo v1 depends heavily on the old version of libc. Updating to a newer version of Debian would break this. - maverick56AspirantNo I cannot change it, it was 6 month ago or more !
I need to do with the v1.
I'm java developer and c is not my cup of tee ! Is it possible to found sources and compile its ?
How and lib is made for the readyNas (.bin) ?
tks - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWell WhoCares? did it, so it is possible and he would know how easy/difficult it is.
For the source code take a look at http://php.net/downloads.php
Add-ons (".bin" files are developed using http://www.readynas.com/sdk)
To install PHP manually you wouldn't need to use that. You could do an
# apt-get update && apt-get install build-essential
Then download PHP source, extract the contents, read the README (or similar) document and attempt to compile it. If it doesn't work then there'll be an issue e.g. with a dependency. You'll either need to backport the code to work with the version installed on the ReadyNAS or update the version on the ReadyNAS (note this may break things). - maverick56AspirantOK ....
I try to install it but I broke my NAS :(
After a reset of the OS the administration acces is down.
Impossible to access to the frontview ...
Impossible to access with ssh on root. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you access the data on the NAS?
That's something else I should've mentioned. You can have problems like that so best not to do it on a production system and best to backup your data first. - maverick56AspirantYes I can access the data.
Ftp work too.
But I cannot access to the system files ...
Impossible to save all data from a 2To disk !
I have only one disk.
