Problem with RN102 after 6.2.1 update #24398652
Hello everyone. Today I made an update to version 6.2.1 OS6. I do not know what tempted me, it seemed to me that everything will play as with previous updates. After the update I uninstalled ajax 4. System announced that after uninstalling needs to do a reset. Up to this point everything was ok. However, after the reset RN102 does not want to get up. I can not log in to the administration panel, Readycloud shows that the device is offline and the LED "power" on the case all the time just blinking. FTP also can not get the resources. The only place through which I can get to the RN102 is windows explorer - at least for the moment.
I would add that I have only one disk and do not want to do a reset to factory settings because I do not want to backup almost 2TB of data ... I do not even no place anywhere.
Is it possible to do something about it?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredRebooted your NAS back to normal mode. Is the problem fixed?
- piechuAspirantNo, problem is still waitng for the fix. How I can reboot NAS (after tech support mode) without any damage? In this instruction http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22892 there is no answer for that.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHave you looked at the NAS since I rebooted it? I did remove a symlink to a config file that no longer exists that was breaking apache before I rebooted it.
It is in normal mode now.
Provided no one is accessing the system and everything is unmounted you can exit tech support mode by pulling the plug. However it is not in tech support mode any more. I have already rebooted it back to normal mode so if you want to power it down you should power it down safely. - piechuAspirantmdgm... You're my God now!
I did not get any feedback from support that the problem was solved. It seems that everything is back to normal. I can login to the admin. It works beautifully :D But ... there is information about the update 6.2.2 ... I guess I'm not going to install it ... or should I?
However, once again thank you very much for your help and wish you all the best for Christmas :) - Ch3fk0chAspirantHello,
after the update on my RN102 to 6.2.2 i got the same problem like piechu.
After the update nothing has worked, than i did hard reboot with power off.
After it come up all my Share and SCSI connections were okay.
It´s looks like the NAS is working finde again but i can´t access the webinterface.Have you looked at the NAS since I rebooted it? I did remove a symlink to a config file that no longer exists that was breaking apache before I rebooted it.
Which symlink did you remove? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retiredpiechu I'm just a man.
I removed the symlink the journal indicated was preventing apache2 from starting. - piechuAspirantOnce again, thanks a lot :)
However I'm giving up the system update to version 6.2.2. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired6.2.2 has a small number of changes.
- piechuAspirantBut I'm afraid the next problem, as it did in the case of update 6.2.1. I understand that my problem was due to trying to uninstall the application ajax4? Can I try to uninstall applications that do not use or leave everything as it is?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired6.2.2 didn't address this issue. So you might find you run into the same issue uninstalling other apps.
