Problems expanding ReadyNas 104
Hi All,
I seem to be having no end of problems with my Readynas 104 since purchasing over a year ago. After multiple replacement parts from Netgear, my most recent issue has been expanding the NAS capacity.
My current drive config is 2/4/4/2TB. First purchased a new 6TB WD Red little while back and after many issues upgrading / logging case with forum, a Netgear tech was able to access my NAS remotely and advised that the new 6TB disc was DOA.
I therefor have now returned the disc and received a replacement. After approx. 12 hpurs rebuilding I cannot access the NAS at all via Finder (I'm on a Mac). Then I access the unit via Readycloud, The "Manage" page shows "data-0". When I access the "Admin" page and click "Volumes" I can see all 4 drives - 6/4/4/2, however the drive diagram is now red. This page also shows Data ), Snapshots 0, Free 0.
This is extremely infurating as I followed the drive upgrade instructions and what shudl have been a simple process has become another huge ReadyNas headache!
I am running firmware 6.5.1. I've attached a couple of screenshots which may help.
Pelase help!!
Thanks.

did you turn XRAID off? From the screen shot it looks like it.

Not knowingly. It was on X-Raid immediately prior to adding 6TB disk. How would I even do / check this?

It still says X-Raid on right hand side of Admin page??
Have I lost my data?
Any suggestions to get this working as it should be?

That is a control, and is always shown. If the X-Raid control has a green stripe through it, then X-RAID is enabled, otherwise it isn't. See page 26 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/READYNAS_OS_6_SM_EN.pdf

Perhaps. I suggest contacting netgear support (though they will charge). Per-incident support might be all you need to re-mount the volume, if the data is actually gone then you'd need data recovery.
Though I don't want to rub salt in an open wound, RAID is not enough to keep data safe.

I've already contacted netgear support and the directed me to the forum. Not sure why I shoudl pay for support while the unit is still under warranty...?!
I've looked at page 26 of the attached - how to switch between X-raid / flex raid. I now get the following error when attempting this...
I also have the following errors...
